It's spring break. Thank the Lord. I'm not really sure how that bodes for cooking this week.
The Offspring will be enriching the lives of my parents for part of the week. That means that me and The Mr. will be enjoying the nightlife Houston has to offer. I say that somewhat tongue in cheek. We hit the same spots every time. And we usually don't stay out very late. I'm very OK with this.
The weather is supposed to be wonderful. Therefore I'm going to let the grill do a lot of my work.
Oh, yeah. Spring time cookin'. Love it.
Sunday: barbecued chicken thighs, grilled vegetable salad, black eyed peas
Monday: grilled flank steak, black beans, guacamole, fresh tomatoes
Tuesday: lasagna sans pasta, spaghetti squash, green beans
Wednesday: Greek salad w/ grilled chicken
Thursday-Saturday: out w/ The Mr.
As you can see, I'm still shunning the pasta, potatoes, rice, and sweets. The sacrifices we make for vanity's sake.
Those sacrifices will be lessened while The Offspring are away. Lessened...not abolished.
Here's hoping you have a great week ahead. May warm weather, sun, and signs of spring grace you with their presence.
