Glass half empty or glass half full?
My beloved summer is over. Today I went to my classroom and started preparing for the new school year. Where did the time go? There are so many more things I want to do.
And that is where my mind is today. Thinking of all the things I want to do.
There are things I already enjoy: sewing, quilting, crochet, reading, snapping pictures, writing.
Some are things I want to try: embroidery, pickling and preserving, making sushi.
Other things I want to be taught: guitar, pottery, photography.
And then there is my sudden obsession with roller derby. I started watching it on public access and now I am hooked. I want to be a Derby Girl.
It muddles my brain. It overwhelms me. Because I know I am back to "finding time" and "squeezing it in". And I don't like that very much.
To escape the impending demise of summer I have jumped on the bandwagon and started reading Twilight. Wow. I can see what all the fuss is about. It's just what I need right now.
Nothing like vampire romance to settle one's mind.

In fact, I made a list.

But, it is what it is.
