What's For Dinner?

I'm continuing with the less is more theme this week.

We are in the final stretch as far as school is concerned. There is so much to do...I find myself being completely worn-out at the end of the day. The last thing I want to worry about is dinner.

Sunday: grilled chicken w/ rosemary, grilled summer squash, zucchini, & mushrooms, fresh tomatoes w/ feta & balsamic dressing

Monday: grilled flank steak, black beans, guacamole, pico de gallo

Tuesday: baked chicken & artichokes, white bean & spinach salad, tomatoes

Wednesday: broiled talapia w/ lemon aioli, cole slaw, okra & stewed tomatoes, black eyed peas

Thursday: leftovers

Friday: hamburgers, hot dogs, oven fries

Saturday: sloppy joes, oven potatoes, salad

The Boy has a birthday this week. He requested the hot dogs and sloppy joes.

Request granted.

He also requested a camo army cake. I think I have a plan that will grant that request as well. It will either be an ace or a total cake wreck.

I'll show the results either way. I know you'll be tied in knots.

He also asked if he could bring some Ooey-Gooey Brownies to share with his classmates. The Boy has taken these to share on his big day since Kindergarten. Because of those brownies, he's a rock star for at least one day each year.

I'll share them as well. I warn you...they are not the least bit healthy. Not one iota. They are pure, unadulterated rubbish. And worth every bit of diet sabotage.

I hope you all had a relaxing Mother's Day and were able to stay out of the kitchen. If not, you have some major hints to drop before next year.
