Branching Out

Here's another belt. It goes really well with the late summer/early fall sweater that I found on sale for $10 at Target and my brown Sloggers.

I like the color combination: brown, putty, linen. Very modern-earthy.

I post pictures of my completed projects to my Facebook page. I keep getting requests from my peeps. They want to buy my stuff!

I have never sold my wares. Since my babysitting days, I have always had difficulties putting a price tag on my worth. I really don't have a business mind. But, I am willing to learn.

I feel the need to branch out. I was telling a friend that teaching school is like a roller coaster. Every year is different with variables that shift and change. This year's set of variables has been difficult to deal with thus far.

I know I have mentioned this before. I won't beat a dead horse.

I am a natural teacher. It's the gift I was given. I think I'm pretty good at it. But lately....I don't know. It's not what I want to be doing right now. It's not where I want to be. It's not what I love.

Again, I feel the need to branch out.

So, I am doing some research. And I'm going to open a shop on Etsy. It will be a hodgepodge of sewn, quilted, and crocheted items. I have to actually make some stuff to put in it, so it won't open right away. But I am making the first step in that direction.

And it feels like the right step to take.
