Daily Ritual and The Hunt For Rhubarb

Daily Ritual: Making the bed.
This has to be done each morning. All beds must be made. I can't leave the house unless the beds are made. I have been late because of this habit. If the house were ever on fire I might be able to skip this step. It is a compulsion. Period. And I accept that this is so, and move on.

I have moved on to rhubarb. A fellow blogger commented on the abundance of rhubarb posts out there . And she is right. They are here, here, and here just to name a few. And those links have links, and then suddenly you are lost in a rhubarb web-maze. All this rhubarb talk has me jumping on the 'barb bandwagon.

Today me and the offspring went hunting for the all important stalks. It isn't easy to find here in South Texas. When you do, it is expensive and/or looks pathetic. We hit the jackpot today. Yes the rhubarb was pricey, but it was organic and pretty. It jumped in my cart and didn't look back.

Other items followed suit:

Strawberries to make merry with that precious rhubarb.

Another Texas watermelon.

"Every Day Fruit": apples, bananas, and nectarines.

And some tree-hugger lollipops.

Tomorrow I will take that rhubarb and those strawberries and transform them into some sort of sweet treat...right after I make the beds, of course.
